Leonid Foundation is a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Ukrainian refugees and
providing direct aid to Ukraine. Our mission is twofold: to facilitate the successful resettlement of displaced Ukrainians and to
send vital assistance to communities affected by the war in Ukraine.

For refugees, we offer a range of services, including help with documentation, access to benefits, English as a Second Language
(ESL) classes, and job search support. We focus on fostering community-building efforts and empowering individuals to rebuild
their lives in new and safe environments.

In addition, Leonid Foundation organizes film screenings, fundraising events, and concerts to raise awareness and gather
support for Ukraine. These events bring communities together and generate vital funds to help those affected by the war.

Leonid Foundation also provides humanitarian aid directly to Ukraine, supporting those still enduring the challenges of war.
Through donations and partnerships, we deliver essential resources to those in need.

Join us in making a difference—whether through donations, volunteering, or attending our events, your support helps us provide
hope and meaningful change both in Ukraine and abroad.

Honoring a Hero: The Story Behind Leonid Foundation

Our foundation is named after Leonid (Uncle Lenya), the beloved uncle of our founder, Anna Move. He was a native of Mariupol, a city in southeastern Ukraine on the coast of the Azov Sea. Once a thriving and beautiful place, Mariupol became a symbol of unimaginable devastation during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. For over a month, the city was relentlessly bombed every 10 minutes by Russian warplanes. Tens of thousands of civilians perished, trapped under the ruins of their homes, in makeshift shelters, or targeted as they tried to escape. Today, Mariupol remains occupied by Russia, its streets bearing the scars of war, its people scattered across the world or living under oppression.

But Leonid was more than just a victim of war—he was a light in the lives of so many. He was a man with an unbreakable spirit, always radiating warmth, kindness, and a sharp sense of humor. No matter the challenge, he faced life with resilience and optimism. He was the person who would drop everything to help a friend, a stranger, or anyone in need. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he loved his home, his city, and the people in it.

Leonid fought for Mariupol long before 2022. In 2014, when Russian-backed forces first attempted to seize the city, he stood alongside his fellow citizens to defend it. They succeeded then. But in 2022, as Russian bombs rained down, he once again stood with his people—enduring the horror, the air raids, the destruction. And he paid the ultimate price.

Leonid Foundation carries his name because we carry his spirit. We honor his memory by helping those who, like him, have lost everything and need to rebuild their lives. We stand for resilience, kindness, and unwavering support—just as Leonid did.

His name lives on. His fight continues.

Anna Move and Edward Murrow co-founded Leonid Foundation with a shared passion for helping Ukrainian refugees and
providing aid to those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Their dedication to humanitarian work is rooted in a deep
belief in the power of community, resilience, and compassion.

Anna, a longtime advocate for refugee rights, brings years of experience in nonprofit leadership and community-building
efforts. Her work has focused on creating support systems for displaced individuals, ensuring they have access to the
resources needed to start a new life.

Edward, a strong supporter of global humanitarian causes, has a background in international relations and community
outreach. His commitment to providing aid to war-torn regions and helping refugees rebuild their lives has driven much of
the Foundation's work in Ukraine.

Together, Anna and Edward founded the Leonid Foundation to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by
war, combining their skills and vision to create programs that offer real support to Ukrainians both abroad and within
Ukraine.

Leonid Foundation provides essential aid to war-torn areas in Ukraine. Working with carefully vetted organizations and volunteers, we deliver critical supplies like medical equipment to those most in need, including children and families.

Your support—through donations or event participation—helps bring relief and hope to those affected by the conflict. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

The Leonid Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about
the war in Ukraine and the devastating impact it has had on
millions of lives. As part of this mission, we host film screenings
across the United States to educate and engage the public on
the ongoing war. We are honored to serve as the official
representatives of Bucha — the first feature film that vividly
captures the horrors of the war and the tragic events that
unfolded in 2022 in the city of Bucha.

Bucha is a powerful cinematic experience that sheds light on
the brutal realities faced by Ukrainian civilians during the
Russian invasion. The film not only tells the story of loss and
resilience but also serves as a call to action, urging the
international community to stand in solidarity with Ukraine in
its fight for freedom and justice.

To learn more about the film and our upcoming evets, visit or
