Leonid Foundation is an award-winning New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian, educational, cultural, advocacy, and community-based support to individuals, families, and communities affected by war, occupation, displacement, captivity, unlawful removal, separation, violence, trauma, and related humanitarian crises, with a particular focus on Ukraine and Ukrainians.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Leonid Foundation has worked to respond to the changing needs of Ukrainians both in the United States and abroad. Our programs support refugees and displaced individuals, children and families affected by war, survivors of captivity and trauma, and communities continuing to endure the humanitarian consequences of the war.
In the United States, we help Ukrainians navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives in a new country. Our support has included assistance with documentation and access to benefits, English as a Second Language (ESL) education, employment and job-search assistance, community integration, referrals, and other resources designed to promote stability and independence.
Our work extends directly to Ukraine. Through humanitarian aid, partnerships, fundraising, and targeted initiatives, we support communities and individuals affected by the war and contribute to recovery, rehabilitation, reintegration, and other long-term humanitarian needs.
Leonid Foundation is deeply engaged in advocacy and public awareness. We work with elected officials, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, advocates, and community partners to raise awareness of issues affecting Ukraine and Ukrainians and to advance humanitarian and policy initiatives that support those impacted by war, displacement, captivity, and separation.
Cultural and educational programming is another important part of our mission. We organize film screenings, concerts, festivals, educational programs, community events, exhibitions, and other initiatives that preserve and celebrate Ukrainian culture while bringing communities together and increasing public awareness and support for Ukraine.
Our mission continues to evolve as the needs of the Ukrainian community evolve. Whether through direct assistance, humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and recovery initiatives, advocacy, education, cultural programming, or community collaboration, Leonid Foundation remains committed to helping individuals and families recover, rebuild, reconnect, and move forward.
We invite individuals, businesses, organizations, and community partners to join us through volunteering, donations, sponsorships, partnerships, advocacy, and participation in our programs and events. Together, these efforts create meaningful and lasting support for Ukrainians in the United States, in Ukraine, and beyond.
Join us in making a difference—whether through donations, volunteering, or attending our events, your support helps us provide hope and meaningful change both in Ukraine and abroad.
